Earlier this year we were excited to be selected to work on Alex Bond's highly anticipated restaurant, Alchamilla. A former Victorian Coach House, untouched for over 100 years was transformed into a contemporary dining experience brining exciting and occasionally challenging culinary dishes, which sould satisfy foodies from all over the country.
We met with Alex over a year before the project started to exchange ideas on how we could incorporate concrete into his restaurant. His passion for texture, craftsmanship and attention to detail complimented ours perfectly. Over the following months we worked closely with Alex to produce a large polished concrete 'Chef's Table' where guests are hosted and served by Alex himself. We also produced over 300 polished concrete bricks that can be seen dotted throughout the walls and brick ceilings, and a large polished concrete bar which meets guests are they arrive.
Alchemilla has to be one of our many favourite projects and the food is highly recommended.
